RmKV silks is famous for wedding silks. RmKV silks was started as a saree shop in Thirunelveli, in 1924 by Rm.K.Visvanatha pillai. Rm.K.Viswanatha pillai's son V.Kumaraswamy, who led RmKV during the period of 1955 to 1988. After the death of V.Kumaraswamy, the family concern was led by K.Viswanathan, grandson of Rm.K.Visvanatha pillai. K.Viswanathan, a Textile Technology graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Rm.K.V is today led by K.Siva kumar, a hands-on weaving enthusiast.

2011 ICC Cricket world cup was the 10th Cricket World cup. It was played in Bangladesh, Srilanka and India.
It was the first time a World cup was co-hosted by Bangladesh. Fourteen national teams competed in the tournament, including ten full time members and four associate members. The tournament was won by India beating Srilanka by six wickets in the final match held on Mumbai. India was the first nation to win a World Cup final on home soil. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of Indian team scored an unbeaten 91* in the final, and he named the Man of the Match. Yuvraj Singh the hero of the tournament named the Man of the Series.

Third Quarter final of the World cup where South Africa take on New zealand in Mirpur. New zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. NZ loss both the openers in the quick session., they were 16/2 at one stage. After that Jesse Ryder and Ross Taylor made some valuable runs to the total. They made 116 for the third wicket. NZ set 222 as a target for SA. On chasing SA loss H Amla in the very first over. But after that they steady the inning with the help of J Kallis and G Smith. South Africa were 108/2 and looked very confident. But when Jacques Kallis fell and they crash-landed spectacularly for 172 all out. Jacob oram took four wickets and two catches in a crucial time to trigger a South African collapse in Mirpur. J Oram named Man of the Match. He says "Thank god, I was tall enough and managed to get the Kallis catch, I suppose Kallis's dismissal was the turning point of the match. Its so hard when you are injured continuously to get any rhythm, so the feeling has been better to be on the field. We believe we can go all the way now"

Yuvraj Singh made a statement that he was a match winner yet again as the hosts ended Australia's 12 yr reign as world cup champions with a five wicket victory... Yuvraj singh who stole the show to guide India to an exciting semi final encounter against Pakistan at mohali on 30th March. 2nd Quarter final of the World cup 2011 was held on 24th, India vs Australia... Australia's captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first.. India couldn't remove a wonderfully solid Ponting, but found a way around him to hold, he scored his first international century in over a year to set a 261 target to India.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar scored a half century, but he fail yet again to make century in centuries. But he passed the 18,000 runs mark in ODI . Yuvraj and Raina played well in the end to a comfortable victory.

Yuvraj singh named Man of the Match., he says "When Dhoni got out, I knew we still had Raina to come, and thought if we added 40 odd runs it would be good. I told Gautam (after the run-out) I am not Virender Sehwag, I can't run like that ... Well, may be it was my fault. I have gone through a tough year, but coming into the World Cup, getting that 50 against England, it was good. 260 was a good score, Ponting batted outstandingly but we chased well."

Australia finally lose in a world cup match vs Pakistan. Ricky Ponting's 34 match unbeaten run came to an end with a four wicket victory in colombo, by Pakistan to gain top spot in Group A. Aussies all out for 176, this was their lowest total in a world cup, Since 1992.
Australia won the toss and decided to Bat first.Umar Gul's 3 for 38 and Abdul Razzaq's 2 for 8 restrict Aussies to 176. Pakistan need 177 to win, Azad shafiq and Umar Akmal played a good knock to beat the Australia. Umar Akmal named Man of the Match for his 44* of 59 balls.
